EVERYTHING TO KNOW ABOUT BUYING THE OLA S1 & S1 Pro

The purchase for the Ola S1 & S1 Pro opens on 15th September for anyone with a reservation. We are starting the purchase in batches and prioritizing users based on their dates of reservation.

HOW TO PURCHASE

Once your purchase window opens, we will notify you through email, SMS, and/or push notification. You can visit the updated Ola app (latest version), click on the Ola Scooter banner on the home page, and initiate the purchase process.

The entire process is seamlessly digital and can be done from home. No visiting showrooms, no running around, nothing. Purchasing early gets you priority delivery. Also, the window stays open only until stocks last so hurry!

PICK A VARIANT, PICK A COLOUR

Take your pick between the Ola S1 and the Ola S1 Pro. Next, choose from 10 vibrant colors and 2 finishes. You can modify your selection if you change your mind.

PAYING FOR YOUR OLA SCOOTER

You will need to pay an advance of INR 20,000 for purchasing your Ola S1 / Ola S1 Pro, and the rest before shipment. You can also avail convenient EMI options when you make the rest of the payment. Your advance is completely refundable if you wish to cancel your booking. Cancellation is allowed only till the scooter is shipped from the Ola Futurefactory.

INSURING YOUR OLA S1/OLA S1 PRO

You can insure your Ola scooter during purchase. With insurance offerings by OLA Financial Services, you can choose comprehensive policies from trusted insurance partners. 5 years’ Third Party’ is mandatory as per IRDAI with new scooter purchase and is required for the registration process. 1-year Own damage is recommended to cover scooter accidental damages. You can also choose from other add-ons such as Personal Accident Cover, Zero Depreciation, and Roadside Assistance.

ABOUT TEST RIDES

Test rides commence November 2021 onwards. You can cancel your booking post the test ride till the time your scooter is shipped. 

ABOUT THE DELIVERY

Deliveries start October 2021 onwards. Your scooter will be delivered directly to your home. You will be notified of estimated tentative delivery dates within 72 hours of purchase.

ABOUT FAME II SUBSIDY 

Short for Faster Manufacturing & Adoption of Electric Vehicles in India Phase II, it is a benefit you get for buying the Ola S1/Ola S1 Pro – as an upfront reduced price.
 

Eligibility

To claim the subsidy, you will need to have a valid Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, or a Driver’s License.
You are eligible to avail of the FAME-II subsidy only once per category of electric vehicle (2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, 4-wheelers).

Criteria

If you have already claimed the subsidy for an electric 2-wheeler, you will be ineligible for claiming the subsidy a second time.
Verify your invoice for the electric 2-wheeler you already own – your invoice will mention if you’ve claimed the subsidy or not.

ABOUT STATE SUBSIDY

 The various States in India offer subsidies over and above the FAME II subsidy. Check the subsidy offered in the State you buy your Ola S1/Ola S1 Pro in and claim it post-purchase.

State subsidies are currently offered in the States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Orissa (basis information available on the respective State Government website as of date).

The prices (in INR) mentioned above are ex-showroom and include GST, FAME II, and State subsidies. The above prices include optional chargers and/or performance upgrade accessories which can also be purchased separately.

ABOUT SERVICE

The Ola S1/Ola S1 Pro is an AI-driven smart vehicle that frees you from the traditional scheduled maintenance every 3 to 6 months with predictive maintenance. Your scooter will tell you when something needs replacing or servicing and a doorstep service can be booked on the Ola Electric App.

Service technicians are well trained to do minor and necessary repairs at the convenience of your home. If the diagnosis is beyond a home visit we arrange to pick your vehicle and drop it back after the necessary repairs have been done.

ABOUT CHARGING

Your Ola Scooter can be charged in 3 ways :
1. Home charging using a portable charger in any 5 Amp socket, anywhere
2. Fast charging at Ola’s Hypercharger network
3. Destination charging at charging stations in public utility spaces (like malls, office complexes)

The Hypercharger Network will be located at convenient locations within your city such as fuel stations, shopping malls, central business districts. You can locate a Hypercharger station nearest to you on your Ola Electric app.
